Towards Excellence and Modern Qualities

The BA Program in Economics at the Faculty of Economics, Chulalongkorn University was designed to foster international understanding by allowing students to pursue an economics degree while at the same time strengthening their English language skills. The program focuses on international as well as local issues. All classes are taught in English. The EBA is an international program, which aims at excellence and modern qualities.

Bachelor of Arts in Economics

The 4-year program is designed to provide students with an appreciation of modern economics, to teach them techniques and applications, to give them practice in relating economics to the world around them, and finally to prepare them for graduate study within this lively academic discipline. Students are provided with the solid academic background necessary for careers as practicing economists locally and internationally.

A minimum study of 7 semesters and not more than 16 semesters with a total of 124 credits and an average GPA of 2.00 are required to be eligible for a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics.

Course Structure

Students are allowed to register for not more than 22 credits except during the summer when they are allowed to register for no more than 7 credits.
