The EBA offers students the opportunity to study one term or a full academic year at a university of their choice, with which the EBA does not have a bilateral student exchange agreement. Visiting students have to pay tuition ax set by the host institution in addition to tuition payable to the EBA. Academic credits earned may be transferred back and counted toward their degree.

  I. Destinations

Your exchange period starts with gathering information about foreign universities. Take your time to research in depth the information provided on the internet (especially courses offeres in English and study environment) to find the program that fits best with your academic and personal interests.



  II. Eligibility

Students must
   1. have a cumulative grade point average (GPAX) of 3.00 or better when        applying
    2. fulfill the admission requirements as set by the host institution
    3. be willing to pay tuition to the host institution in addition to tuition payable         to the EBA
    4. assume the cost of travel, housing, health insurance and other expenses         related to their stay
    5. attend information sessions offered
    6. write a report about their study abroad experience and submit it to the EBA         office upon their return
    7. participate in promotional activities to inform students abroad about         studying at the EBA (seminar, workshop, exchange fair, etc.); proof there of is         to be submitted upon return



  III. Points to consider before applying

    1. university calendars vary from country to country
    2. grading systems vary from country to country
    3. only a limited number of courses may be offered in English
    4. compulsory courses to be completed may not be offered upon your return



  IV. Application

    1. download the EBA application form here
    2. complete the application form in ENGLISH
    3. submit your application for the spring term before May 15 the of the         preceding year
    4. submit application form provided by the host institution prior to the stated         deadline; ensure that you fulfill all admission requirements
    5. receive letter of acceptance and submit it to the EBA
    6. pre-register for courses at the host and home institution
    7. submit application for credit transfer to the Faculty Board via the EBA office



  V. International Study Fellowship Program

The interanational study fellowship program has been designed for those students who intend to study a term at one of the world's top 30 universities as visiting students.

A total of 15 fellowships are available, of which
    - 3 fellowships grant THB 120,000 or less per term
    - 12 fellowships grant THB 60,000 or less per term

  1. Application Criteria
      Junior or senior year students with a GPAX of 3.00 or higher are eligible to       apply.
  2. Selection Criteria
      - GPAX (the focus being on Economics Core Courses)
      - Tuition and fees to be paid abroad
      - Talents & skills (e.g. language skills)
  3. Application Deadline
      6 months prior to your envisaged exchange period

VI. Criteria of credit transfer

    1. courses taken at the host institution must be equivalent to EBA elective         courses
    2. courses taken at the host institution must have been approved by the Office         of the Registrar prior to the exchange period
    3. not more than 1/4 of total credits may be transferred from host institutions
    4. grades earned must be equivalent to C (or better)
    5. grades earned at the host institution will not be included in the calculation         of the GPAX (grades assigned: S or U)
    6. after having studied at the host institution, students must complete at least         one regular term at the home institution prior to graduation
    7. an "F" on the transcript received from the home institution-due to whatever         reason-will lead to the student not being eligible to receive honours
    8. visiting students must inform the EBA without delay by email, should they         have to change their course selection for some reason



  VII. Steps before departure

    1. obtain visa
    2. buy adequate health and liability insurance
    3. make travel arrangements
    4. arrange accommodation
    5. register at Chulalongkorn University and pay tuition and fees as announced
    6. contact buddies abroad



  VIII. Steps before your return

    1. ask the host institution to send one transcript directly to the EBA Office
    2. register online for EBA courses
